Outbound Supervisor

Job Overview:
The Outbound Supervisor will manage and oversee the outbound operations of the fulfillment center, ensuring that orders are processed, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. This role involves leading a team of pickers, packers, and dispatchers, monitoring workflows, and maintaining high operational standards. The supervisor works closely with logistics partners and internal teams to resolve delivery issues, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the outbound team (pickers, packers, dispatchers) to meet daily shipment targets.
Monitor the workflow of order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Ensure accurate order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to resolve any delivery issues or delays.
Track performance metrics (accuracy, productivity, order cycle time) and report daily/weekly KPIs.
Conduct regular team briefings and shift handovers.
Ensure all outbound activities comply with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
This role includes monitoring key performance indicators such as accuracy, speed, and productivity, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving operational improvements. The supervisor will also train, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve goals and maintain smooth, reliable warehouse operations.
Experience:
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in outbound/logistics operations, preferably in an e-commerce or fulfillment center environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends if required.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
