Role Overview

The Senior FP&A Analyst is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and business partnering across Mumzworld. The role owns the annual operating plan and rolling forecasts, builds the financial models behind strategic decisions, and gives the executive team and Board the insights they need to steer the business.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical problem-solver who can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business strategies, and who thrives working across teams in a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Financial Modelling & Analytics: Build, maintain, and continuously improve Mumzworld's corporate financial models, including 3-statement, scenario, and ROI models. Use them to evaluate strategic initiatives and business cases, and to show leadership the financial impact of key decisions.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and rolling forecasts. Partner with department heads to build accurate, well-challenged budget assumptions, and track performance against plan throughout the year.

Variance Analysis & Reporting: Deliver detailed monthly and quarterly budget-to-actual variance analysis. Identify the key trends, risks, and opportunities behind the numbers, and turn them into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Business Partnering: Act as a trusted financial advisor to Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams. Help non-finance leaders understand their financial metrics, manage departmental spend, and make better commercial decisions.

Management & Board Reporting: Prepare monthly management packs, KPI dashboards, and presentation materials for the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, giving them a clear view of business performance.

Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial planning and reporting. Support the implementation and optimisation of planning tools, BI dashboards, and the ERP (NetSuite) to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.

What You'll Need

Experience

The Foundation: 4–6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a similarly analytical finance role.

The Background: Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or other consumer-focused, high-growth businesses is a strong plus.

The Track Record: Proven experience leading AOP and forecasting cycles, building complex financial models, and presenting insights to senior leadership or a Board.

Qualification

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, CFA, or CPA is a strong advantage.

Analytical & Technical Capability: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint. Experience with NetSuite or another Tier 1 ERP (SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred. Experience with planning software (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Planful) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a major advantage.
